Issue No. 4 of Cura’s Clubbing fanzine moves away from the institutional archive to the personal, with a selection of previously unpublished private photographs from famed Parisian nightclub Les Bains Douches, and its fabled proprietor Hubert Boukobza, who died in 2018. Behind-the-scenes images, depicting a celebrity-studded, eccentric and glamorous lifestyle, are mixed with architectural views by Sophie Branly. The fanzine is edited by Julie Boukobza, with help from her sister Lily McMenamy, who portray their father’s life and legacy, providing a unique perspective of their childhoods, growing up around the club. — Alexis Zavialoff and Maia Asshaq
