Since 2003, tank.tv has been the pioneering online platform for artists' moving image. tank.tv is dedicated to offering curated programmes online and in our Central London exhibition space: always free and available to everyone.
We have worked with a wide range of national and international artists, from emergent to well-established names that include John Smith, Vito Acconci, Ryan Gander, Martha Rosler, Ken Jacobs, Philippe Parreno, Jeremy Deller, and curators Ian White, Stuart Comer, Hans Ulrich Obrist, Michelle Cotton, Negar Azimi, and LUX. More recently, tank.tv has expanded its remit to collaborate with artists and curators working between the worlds of film and video and digital production. This includes exhibitions, events, and residencies with Andrew Norman Wilson, Dora Budor, AIRBNB Pavilion, Paul Kneale, Sanssouci Realty (Attilia Fattori Franchini & Paul Flannery), Jala Wahid, and Arcadia_Missa.
In 2013, to celebrate our tenth anniversary, tank.tv opened an exhbition space, in a 1950s landmark building just north of Oxford Circus. A space for exhibition, display, and events, it has enabled tank.tv to extend its reach and bring audiences into a dialogue between artists, curators, and artworks. tank.tv continues to extend the boundaries of contemporary practice, and our wide online presence is supported by events with international institutions, including Tate Modern and the ICA, London; ZKM Karlsruhe; Kulturhuset, Stockholm; The Armory Show/VOLTA NY, and many others.
